A mere stone’s throw from Faneuil Hall and the North End, you’ll find a place of wonder. The New England Aquarium is built around a four-story, 200,000-gallon Caribbean coral reef exhibit called the Giant Ocean Tank. Sea turtles, toothy sharks and huge stingrays peer out at you. Electric green moray eels, barracudas and a rainbow of tropical fish swim together. Both harbor and fur seals have training sessions several times a day that you can watch.
More than 60 penguins of three different species fly underwater through one of the largest penguin exhibits in North America. Thousands of sea jellies will surprise you with their beauty. The IMAX Theatre has state-of-the-art 3D technology and the largest movie screen in New England. At the New England Aquarium, you will find the marvels hidden in the world beneath the waves.
